Our theme for October is HALLOWEEN!
I’ll be the first to admit that scrapping the ‘annual events’ (birthdays, easter, Christmas etc. ) are always the most difficult for me. When the same thing happens year after year, I find it hard to keep it fresh. My solution for Halloween is to maybe scrap a layout if I have something specific that I want to remember, but otherwise I have a 6×6 album for each of my boys where I plan to do a quick and simple mini layout showing each years costume. And that’s it! No pressure to come up with something exciting to say about carving pumpkins or trick-or-treating year after year, while still preserving the memory of Halloween for them.
Here are a few examples of layouts that I have done about Halloween (one that has yet to find a picture). Enjoy!
This blog hop will run from today, October 23rd until October 25th.
We will be drawing for winners on October 26th.
Follow along in our blog hop! Your next stop is Carla

The layout with the bats is gorgeous! Lisa L. (mcia01h)
I agree that it’s difficult to scrap the same events year after year and still keep it fresh and interesting. I like your idea of a mini-album to document the same event each year, but without the pressure of having to do something different with the layout each year.
