A sweet picture of my beautiful niece 🙂 Did this one for week #33 over at 52 sketches 52 weeks. If you’ve never been to this site, check it out. Each week there is a new sketch, and an awesome prize pack up for grabs. All you need to do is create a layout based on the sketch and post it to the online gallery. All participants are entered into a random draw for the prize.
Logi Bear August 21, 2009
Supplies used: Cosmo Cricket patterned paper, American Crafts thickers, Heidi Swapp invisibles, Basic Grey buttons (I think!)
Neither of my two older boys have ever had nicknames that have stuck, but we started calling Logan ‘Logi Bear’ a long time ago and I suspect it is going to stick around for some time. Now he even calls himself Logi Bear, and always refers to himself in the third person. I know one day soon he will figure out how to say “I am going swimming”, but for now, it is so stinkin’ cute to hear him say “Logi Bear go wimmin!” The little things I treasure, knowing that once they are gone, they are gone for good.
Grandpa in training August 20, 2009
Supplies used: My Mind’e Eye patterned paper, Bazzill ‘Just the Edge’ strip
I did this layout for week #32 at 52 sketches 52 weeks. These pics were taken at the end of June when I went to visit one of my oldest friends. There aren’t any grandchildren in her family yet, but her parents have fun being surrogate grandparents to my kids. Appropriate, since I think I probably spent just as much time at their house as I did at my own when I was a teenager!

Stacy Milford is having an awesome giveaway on her blog right now. You have until tomorrow to leave a comment here. And tell her I sent you 🙂
Supplied used: Cosmo Cricket patterned paper, Bo Bunny buttons, American Crafts thickers, My Mind’s Eye scalloped strip
I did this layout using the sketch for the Wacky Wednesday Challenge at Creative Scrappers. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t manage to work in a journaling spot, which was part of the challenge. Oh, well…I love it anyway!
