Supplies used: Basic Grey patterned paper, American Crafts thickers, Making Memories alphas, Doodlebug paper frills, unknown buttons
I did this layout for sketch #39 at 52 sketches. Sketches like this are ideal for using up paper scraps. In my case, I had a 6×6 pad of the Lime Rickey paper (yeah, I showed restraint and only got the 6×6 pad this time!), so this sketch was perfect for using some of that paper up.
PS. I’m not sure why Connor was watching a movie wearing dark shades and my fuzzy purple scarf…
help! My name is Tanya, and I am addicted! September 24, 2009
My collection of thickers is now in the 70+ category. Do I have a problem? Am I alone? Thankfully, I know the answer, to the second question at least, is no. 🙂 And really, I do use them a lot…on almost every layout actually. And some are duplicates because I’ve used them so much I can’t make words out of the leftovers anymore. I can only imagine what it would look like if I also had girls and bought all the pink ones too! Now…where am I going to put them all???

Sketch from PageMaps
I did this one for one of the Team Challenges over at Lovebug Scrapbooking. I didn’t stick to the challenge strictly, but I like the way it turned out anyway. I spend so much time scrapping everything about my kids, that a lot of the time I forget to scrap the little details about myself. So this layout shows my fave 5 things RIGHT NOW. Things that are likely to change in the next few years. And if I don’t write them down, I’ll forget just how sexy I think Hugh Jackman is…like that could ever happen!

Supplies used: Scenic Route and Kaiser Craft patterned paper, American Crafts thickers, doodlebug stickers
I still can’t seem to get out of my rut, but I forced myself to do SOMETHING! Not my usual style, but I actually like the way it turned out. Nothing wrong with doing a cutesy layout once in a while, right? Anyway, this one is based on sketch #37 over at 52 sketches. There is a new sketch up for this week, too. Check it out.
52 sketches design team! September 20, 2009
I am thrilled to be chosen to be a part of the design team at 52 sketches…52 weeks, along with these other very talented ladies.
I love using sketches as the jumping off point for my layouts, and the 52 sketches community is always a wonderful source of inspiration, not to mention fabulous weekly prizes! If you’ve never been there before, check it out!
My little reader September 18, 2009
Supplies used: Cosmo Cricket patterned paper, Little Yellow Bicycle clear cut, Pink Paislee chipboard alpha
This is an old pic of my oldest son, who is going to be seven in a few weeks. He has always had a love for books, and I’m so glad that it has stuck with him as he’s gotten older. He’s been reading since he was four, and falls asleep every night reading a book. Hopefully he continues to love reading as he grows. I know that I was just like that as a child, and I still love to lose myself in books.
